Small and still very big

This small but mighty microscope offers everything its big brothers and sisters do. The computer-calculated four-lens acrylic optics produce a sharp-edged, colour-corrected image and can easily compete with many of the more expensive instruments available on the market. The magnification is continuously adjustable from 20x to 40x and makes the finest textile fibres, raster dots in colour prints and much more visible.

How it works

First push the microscope all the way in ( 20x magnification) and pull out the stand a little. Place the microscope on the object and make sure it is well lit from the side. Look through the eyepiece and change the distance to the object by carefully pulling the stand out a little further or pushing it in until the image is completely sharp. For higher magnifications up to 40x, pull the microscope apart and then proceed in exactly the same way. In general, as magnification increases, the distance between the objective and the object becomes smaller.
