Cardboard kit for a mini telescope with integrated lens protection. Smaller than a credit Card. Flatter than an eraser. According to the Guinness Book of Records the smallest telescope in the world.

Small but mighty

When folded, the Liliput Telescope is only half the size of a credit card and half as flat as a standard eraser. Nevertheless, they are fully functional binoculars that are especially useful when travelling. The sharpness of the upright, 2x magnified image is adjustable with a clever cardboard spring.

For teachers and pupils

The Liliput folding binoculars are easy to construct and are ideal as teaching material at secondary schools. Like all other astro materials, they can also be used for other group and project work on astronomy and Physics.

This is what you will need for assembly:

a firm and flat working surface, useful is a cutting mat
a pair of scissors, or even better a craft knife or a scalpel
a dull knife or a folding tool
a good universal glue

Supervision by adults:
Children under the age of 14 should use the kit under adult supervision to avoid risks due to improper handling.

Take care with small parts:
Choking hazard! Keep small parts out of the reach of small children.

Risk of injury:
Take particular care when handling pointed and sharp parts! Use sharp tools with care and take suitable safety measures to avoid injury if necessary.

Fire hazard:
Keep away from open sources of fire and heat. Product contains highly flammable materials.
Caution when focussing light: Do not leave lenses in direct sunlight as they can create a focal point.

Danger from sunlight:
Never look directly at the sun through the telescope without using a suitable sun filter as this can cause serious eye damage.

Use of adhesives:
When using adhesive, follow the manufacturer's safety instructions. Work in well-ventilated areas and avoid skin or eye contact.

Intended use:
The kit may only be used in accordance with the enclosed instructions. Independent modifications may impair the functionality and safety of the model built.
